Top 5 Must-Dos at Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts
Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts is the newest addition to the park’s festival line up. It debuted in 2017, and we’ve been wanting to check it out ever since. This year we were finally able to experience what it has to offer.
Here are our 5 must-dos at the festival:
1. Food
Not going to lie, food was the main reason why I wanted to check out the festival. There are 13 Food Studios offering artfully crafted dishes and beverages. We did our best to sample at least one offering from each booth. This is what we have tried:
2. Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt
Scavenger hunt is Bunky’s favorite activity at all of the Epcot’s festivals. This time we were looking for Figment hiding inside famous works of art at each World Showcase pavilion.
You can purchase the scavenger hunt map and stickers at Pin Central, Disney Traders or World Traveler. Every time you find Figment, add the corresponding sticker to the pavilion on your map. Once your journey is complete, return your map to Disney Traders for an artful surprise.
Here is the video of us looking for Figment at Japan, the American Adventure, Italy, and Norway pavilions, and the completion prize:
3. Photo Ops
These photo ops let you become part of famous paintings, and they are tons of fun.
Some of the paintings are:
- France Pavilion: Luncheon of the Boating Party by Pierre-Auguste Renoir
- The American Adventure Pavilion:Washington Crossing the Delaware by Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze
- Italy Pavilion:The Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli, Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci and The Scream by Edvard Munch
- Mexico Pavilion: An homage to Frida Kahlo
4. Hidden Disney Character Paintings in the World Showcase Pavilions
These character paintings sprinkled throughout the World Showcase are a new addition to the Festival of the Arts, and it was a lot of fun to look for them.
5. Disney on Broadway Concert Series
We are big fans of Broadway. And Disney. Combination of both? Yes, please!
There are three shows every night: at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM that let you enjoy Disney show tunes performed by Broadway stars. Check out Disney’s official website to see the line up.
