Pullman Maldives Maamutaa is nestled in the mesmerizing Gaafu Alifu Atoll. This luxury resort offers a serene and unforgettable vacation experience. With pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and world-class amenities, it’s the perfect destination for ultimate relaxation and indulgence.
The resort features 122 beautifully designed villas, offering a range of options from beachfront havens to overwater retreats.
Pullman Maldives takes care of all your needs with its all-inclusive concept. From exquisite dining experiences at various restaurants to an array of recreational activities, a lot is included in your stay.
The resort offers a host of amenities to enhance your stay, including a spa, fitness center, yoga classes, kids’ club, and water sports facilities. Whether you seek relaxation or adventure, there’s something for everyone.
Getting to Pullman Maldives
This secluded paradise is located approximately 340 kilometers south of the Maldivian capital, Malé. The resort is easily accessible via a scenic 55-minute domestic flight from Velana International Airport, followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride.

Rooms
Pullman Maldives boasts a collection of 122 luxurious villas, all beautifully designed to provide privacy and offer stunning views of the crystal-clear waters. Each villa is equipped with modern amenities, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and spacious bathrooms.
There are three main villa types:
Beach Villas. These elegant villas are nestled amidst lush tropical gardens and offer direct access to the beach. They feature a sun terrace, and a comfortable indoor/outdoor living area. Some villas have private pools.
- Ocean Villas. Situated at the edge of the resort’s overwater jetty, the Ocean Villas offer breathtaking panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. Each villa has a spacious deck, a daybed, and direct access to the lagoon. Some villa feature infinity pools.
Aqua Villas. These villas are similar to Ocean Pool villas with one surprise: these are two-level villas with a submerged master bedroom combined with an overwater bedroom.
Sunset Ocean (Overwater) Pool Villa
We stayed at Sunset Ocean Pool Villa. In hindsight, a Sunrise Villa would have been a better choice for us: only once we were in the villa during the sunset, but we were up before the sunrise every day thanks to jetlag.
In the villa, you will find a Hollywood Queen bed that promises a comfortable and restful sleep.
There is also a desk offering a designated workspace for those who need to attend to business matters or simply catch up on emails.
For added comfort a cozy sofa offers a spot to unwind, read a book, or watch the tropical fishes swimming under the villa.
The bathroom is open-air, meaning there is a roof but there is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan. It does get very hot and humid in the room.
There are:
- Two bathroom counters
- Indoor and outdoor showers
- Toilet
- Bathtub
The mini-bar in the villa is complimentary and it is refilled twice a day.
The deck is well-appointed with a table and an umbrella, creating a perfect spot to enjoy meals or drinks outdoors while staying shaded from the sun. Adjacent to it, you’ll find a comfortable lounger where you can stretch out, soak up the sun, and indulge in a blissful afternoon of relaxation.
Additionally, under the thatched roof of the deck area, there is a cozy sofa and another table.

Dining
Pullman Maldives presents a diverse range of dining options that cater to various tastes and preferences.
There are three restaurants:
- Melange (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
- Souq Oven (lunch, and dinner)
- Phat Chameleon (dinner only)
And there are three bars/lounges:
- Sol Rising
- The Hub
- Saffron Affair
Mélange
Mélange is a delightful all-day dining venue, offering a buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu features international cuisine, including a selection of seafood, grilled meats, and healthy options.
We dined at Melange the most often. Its buffet setting made easy for both of us find things that we like.
Melange hours are:
- Breakfast 7am to 10.30am
- Lunch 12.30pm to 3pm
- Dinner 6.30pm to 10pm
Souq Oven
Souq Oven offers the best of two worlds, serving up a delightful culinary experience that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. For dinner, you can indulge in the rich and aromatic flavors of the Middle East, and during lunch, get ready to savor the delicious taste of Italy.

Souq Oven hours are:
- Lunch 12.30pm to 3pm
- Dinner 6.30pm to 10pm
This restaurant features the famous Wine Wall.
Phat Chameleon
Phat Chameleon is the first organic, vegan and vegetarian restaurant in the Maldives.
It is only open for dinner (6.30pm to 10pm), and advanced reservations required.

Saffron Affair
Saffron Affair, a sunset bar, offers a vibrant and chic atmosphere where you can unwind and indulge in a wide selection of refreshing beverages.
Saffron Affair is open from to 2pm to 1am with tapas served from 4pm to 9pm. You can also sample a complimentary shisha from 3pm to 5pm here.
Sol Rising
Located by the poolside, Sol Rising is the perfect spot to enjoy light bites, refreshing beverages, and exotic cocktails while basking in the tropical sunshine.
It is open for breakfast from 7am to 9.30am, and the bar is open from 10am to 1pm.
The Hub
The Hub is the bar in the center of the resort serving cocktails, mocktails, wines, juices, and more.
The Hub is open from 10m to 11pm with light bites served from 11am to 6pm. It is a great place to stop by for a snack between the meals.

Spa
Indulge in ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation at the serene Spa by Phytomer. From soothing massages and invigorating body scrubs to rejuvenating facials and holistic therapies, the spa offers a variety of experiences tailored to your needs.
My only complain about the spa is that it is almost impossible to get an appointment there – we were able to get only one massage reservation during our five day stay. I’d have loved to have at least one more.
Water Sports
The snorkeling equipment is included with you stay so you can explore mesmerizing underwater realm.
You can also enjoy one hour a day of of non-motorized water sports like wind surfing, catamaran, or canoe.
With expert instructors to guide you, both seasoned adventurers and beginners can enjoy thrilling water sports activities in this idyllic setting.
Kids' Club
Pullman Maldives ensures that young guests have a memorable and enjoyable time at their dedicated Kids Club.
With a range of engaging activities and supervised programs, kids can immerse themselves in arts and crafts, interactive games, and exciting adventures tailored to their age group. The friendly and attentive staff provide a nurturing environment, ensuring that children are entertained and well taken care of throughout their stay. Parents can relax and unwind, knowing that their little ones are in good hands and having a blast at the Kids Club in Pullman Maldives.
You will find a playground and a kids pool near the Club.
Skillz
Skillz is teen only area. Here you will find a range of entertaining activities including snooker, table tennis, various board games and a golf simulator.
