Our 5 Favorite Tokyo Disney Snacks

Advertisements

Tokyo Disney is famous for its unique and different snacks, and I must admit: these super adorable snacks were one of the reasons we were so excited to visit Tokyo Disney theme parks.

Here are our five favorites, in no particular order.

Our very first Tokyo Disney snacks: peach & raspberry Minnie ice bar and tropical fruit Mickey ice bar.

They were perfect on a hot sunny day – refreshing and not too sweet.

These ice bars are available at various ice cream cart at Disneyland and DisneySea. We got ours in Adventureland at Disneyland.

Green Alien Mochi | Pan Galactic Pizza Port, Tokyo Disneyland

If you are planning a trip to Tokyo Disneyland, you probably have already come across a picture of this adorable dessert. It is pretty popular.

These are cream-filled mochi. You get one of each flavor: chocolate, strawberry, and custard.

You can find them at Pan Galactic Pizza Port in Tomorrowland, Tokyo Disneyland.

Sea Salt Ice Cream Monaka | Tokyo DisneySea

This monaka is a sea salt ice cream/pink seashell-shaped wafers sandwich with a raspberry jam filling.

Somehow we did not take a picture of the monaka without the wrapper. Just another reason to go back to Tokyo – to complete this post, right?..

You can find this ice cream sandwich at ice cream carts in Tokyo DisneySea.

Mike's Melon Bread | Sweetheart Cafe, Tokyo Disneyland

A confession: we don’t really like melons, but this melon bread (aka melonpan) was on all must-try lists I saw when preparing for the trip, so we decided to give a try. I am glad we did. It was light, fluffy, and not overly “melon-y”.

You will find Mike’s melon bread at Sweetheart Cafe in World Bazaar, Tokyo Disneyland.

(The pastry on the left in the picture below is a custard bread. We got it as a back up in case we did not like the melon bread. It was good too)

Critter Sundae | Rackety's Raccoon Saloon, Tokyo Disneyland

This was the last snack of the trip. A perfect ending to a fantastic trip.

Soft service vanilla ice cream topped with strawberry sauce, corn flakes, and a churro. Yum!

Get yours at Rackety’s Raccoon Saloon in Critter Country, Tokyo Disneyland. It is a little out of the way: walk to the Splash Mountain, and then keep going.

Bonus: Flavored Popcorn | Tokyo Disneyland & Tokyo DisneySea

Flavored popcorn is very popular at Tokyo Disney. You can find popcorn carts in almost all of the “lands” in the parks.

Our favorites were:

  • Milk chocolate (Critter Country, Tokyo Disneyland; also available at Tokyo DisneySea)
  • Honey (Fantasyland, Tokyo Disneyland)
  • Strawberry (American Waterfront, Tokyo DisneySea)

If you are looking for a specific flavor, check the park map to find the location of the popcorn cart.

Final Thoughts

The attention to detail, presentation, and, of course, taste make Tokyo Disney snacks a must-try for anyone visiting the resort.

Whether you’re a fan of sweet or savory snacks, Tokyo Disney has something for everyone. We concentrated on the sweet offering this time, but I promise a post on savory snacks after our next visit to Tokyo.
